We're set for an absolute bumper weekend, as we prepare to fly from six different locations covering some of the most incredible countryside in the North of England.
As the North's No 1 provider of helicopter pleasure flights, we are able to fly the public on spectacular journeys departing from sites in the Yorkshire Dales, Manchester, the Peak District and more.
Below, we focus on the flights taking place on Saturday 27th June (please click here for our flights on Sunday 28th June).
On Saturday 27th June, we will be flying from three locations – City Airport Manchester (Barton), Skipton and Giggleswick, respectively.
If you or your friends or family are Manchester United or Manchester City fans, then our respective 'Reds Experience' and 'Blues Experience' just can't be missed out on!
Flying from City Airport Manchester (Barton), The Reds Experience 20-minute/33 mile helicopter ride tracks over some of Manchester's famous landmarks, including Manchester United's training ground, and culminates in a flyover visit to the world-famous Old Trafford – home to the most successful club in English football history.
Flying from the same starting point, The Blues Experience, on the other hand, is a 20- minute/33 mile helicopter ride that tracks over the famous sites of England's second city, culminating in a flyover visit to one of the world's finest and most opulent modern football stadiums: the Etihad. Home to the 2011/12 and 2013/14 season Premier League Champions and five-time FA Cup winners.
On the same day, meanwhile – away from the hustle and bustle of Manchester and across the border into Yorkshire and its beloved Yorkshire Dales – we will be flying from The Craven Arms in Giggleswick (home to the famous public school) near Settle and from The Craven Heifer in Skipton, on the road to Grassington.
Options for flights departing from Giggleswick range from 5-minute flights around the area surrounding lovely Settle to the 30-minute themed flights 'Wharfedale Wander' and 'The Yorkshire Three Peaks'.
To give you an irresistible flavour of 'The Yorkshire Three Peaks' flight from Giggleswick, the wonderful sights you will behold include Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and the amazing limestone pavement look spectacular from the air; and, in this part of Yorkshire, you'll also have the privilege of incredible views of The Ribblehead Viaduct – considered by many to be the most spectacular of all Yorkshire landmarks. With its 24 arches, 104 feet above the beautiful landscape and surrounded by Yorkshire’s Three Peaks, Pen-y-Ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside, The Ribblehead Viaduct is a hugely impressive structure forming part of the much-loved Settle-Carlisle Railway.
The 'Wharfedale Wander' – leaving from The Craven Heifer near Skipton (don't confuse the two!) – will take you over the historic town of Skipton – 'gateway to the Dales' – with its astonishingly well-preserved medieval castle dating back to 1090. Then, you'll track along the charming Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway to the 30,000 acre Bolton Abbey Estate, with its prominent priory ruins nestling alongside the River Wharfe.
You'll see the charming village of Grassington – home to the famous arts festival and nearby iconic Wharfedale Rugby Union Club – at the heart of the Upper Wharfedale Valley. The spectacular, cavernous Kilnsey Crag. The pretty village of Kettlewell, famous for its Scarecrow Festival, adjoining the celebrated Buckden Pike.
